Building Code and Safety Requirements

In January of 2009 North Carolina adopted a code to enforce the safety of residential elevators.  Throughout the years, there have been several updates.  R.E.A.L Elevator Solutions stays informed as changes occur to keep our installation practices at the forefront of safety regulations.

As of June 2022, homes that are used as rental property must adhere to the latest North Carolina safety requirements.  For NC Law Governing Rental Homes, Click Here. R.E.A.L Elevator Solutions values you as a client and understands that these codes can seem complex.  If you have any questions about building codes or safety requirements, please let us know.  R.E.A.L Elevator Solutions CEO, Tommy Faulkner, personally provided input into the original NC Elevator Code. We are confident these codes ensure professional standards in our industry as well as protect the safety of the people who purchase and use residential elevators.
